A homepage has a fundamental communication mission: it must allow users to immediately grasp what you offer.
Statements such as:
- We satisfy our customers’ needs.
- We provide an extensive range of services for all your needs.
- We have the solution to your problem.
Lengthy descriptions or lists of your features and services, clients and competitors, technology standards and business approaches do not belong on a homepage.
You need to state your mission concisely.
Ask yourself: What do I want my users to do? Why should they do it?
Be clear, forward and compelling or your website will become the missing link.
