PISA reports that 20% of young people in the EU have reading difficulties. This means that more than 1 in 5 young teenagers lack basic reading and writing skills (not to mention 75 million adults).
As of 2011, only 42.6% of the EU Population had acquired “medium or high” Internet Skills, leaving a whopping 47.4% with a low or null ability to use the Internet. (Digital Agenda for Europe)
